I am generally painting original landscapes with a sense of place. Outside I make impressions of the beauty and diversity of the Dutch landscape. And in particular my own environment, the Utrecht landscape.

In my studio I am seeking for more experimental, expressive en colorfull compositions. Always in search of the beauty of imperfection.....

About Rijk Roor: 

After secondary school I initially was trained as a visual arts teacher. Later I switched to a career in healthcare. About 20 years ago I took up painting again and visited several part-time art-academies. Initially I am painting besides my work and since 2018 fulltime in rustic Odijk (near Utrecht). I exhibit regularly and in my own region I'm active as a painting teacher.
